APAM Member Benefits
Advocacy: Through numerous task forces and committees, APAM staff and members work closely with Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to make sure the Industry's interests are represented in specifications and regulations.
Current Information: Through our website, email update bulletins and periodic mailings, APAM members are provided with timely information on everything from specification changes to upcoming training opportunities.
Technical Manuals: APAM provides periodic reference materials and guidelines on asphalt paving specifications through this website's Member's Only page.
Annual Asphalt Paving Conference: This event is considered one of the most informative in the construction industry, featuring a full day of information and educational sessions. Members attend at a discounted rate.
Annual Awards Banquet: Members are invited to participate in events.
Training Seminars and Workshops: APAM-sponsored workshops provide members with a convenient way to keep up with new specifications and regulations affecting their business. Great opportunity to earn PDH credits.
Public Relations: APAM actively works to promote the use of Hot Mix Asphalt by providing information to state and local agency engineers, consulting engineers and architects. APAM is always ready to assist magazines and newspapers in the preparation of articles about Hot Mix Asphalt pavements and our industry.
Industry Leadership: APAM is the voice of Michigan's asphalt paving industry. APAM maintains a collaborative relationship with the National Asphalt Pavement Association, the Asphalt Institute, and the State Asphalt Pavement Associations, which enhances our ability to be an effective voice for APAM members.
Membership Options:
Hot Mix Asphalt Contractor Member
Companies that are actively engaged in the production, furnishing and/or paving of Hot Mix Asphalt in the State of Michigan. Applicant must have a sponsor that is a current member and must meet Board of Director's approval. Hot Mix Asphalt Manufacturers and Pavers are eligible to be a "Voting Member". Dues based on tons produced. See Dues Structure for Asphalt Producers
Hot Mix Asphalt Paving Contractors who are NOT also Hot Mix Aspahlt Manufacturers are eligible to be "Non-Voting Members". Annual dues are $500 per year.
Associate Member
Individuals or companies who are suppliers, manufacturers, service companies related to the asphalt pavement industry, and other highway industry contractors. Annual Dues are $500 per year.
Asphalt Cement / Binder Supplier Members
Companies who supply liquid asphalt used in the manufacturing of Hot Mix Asphalt.
Affiliate Membership
The Affiliate member category is comprised of counties, cities, villages and townships. The cost for the annual dues is $0.
